Help Dress Me - Work Dinner

My DH, a physician, is considering joining a new group practice, and they've set up a meet-and-greet dinner that I'm also invited to. What should I wear???

Dinner is at a restaurant that is casually upscale -- the kind of place I'd expect to see people go for a business lunch, but I'd go dressed causally (jeans, casual top) if I was just going for dinner with my family. We'll be having dinner with a few other physicians, as well as the administrative team (local administrator, HR recruiter, COO, potentially a few others) who are coming in from a city a few hours away where the practice is based. I've been a SAHM for the past 7 years and I don't think I've dressed for any sort of "business" occasion a single time since then! Obviously this dinner is about my DH, not me, but I still want to dress the right way! Any/all suggestions are appreciated - TIA!

I’d probably throw on something simple like a wrap or shirt dress

They’re not too dressy (like a cocktail dress would be) and not too casual. If everyone is doing jeans and a nice shirt, these won’t be uncomfortably formal in any way. Pulled together but not fussy. Plenty of stores carry them at any variety of price points too.

If you aren't comfortable in a dress you could also do some simple pants and fun/dressy top/moto jacket and cute shoes- especially if you can re use these items (not sure as a stay at home mom if you have need for a dress but can wear the other pieces). I'd look for something on trend at Nordstroms or at a local boutique (I have found even in my small city the locally owned shops have some great pieces)

Thank you for the advice! I'm going to go looking tomorrow and will hopefully find something that feels right!
