DD (9) got the HP baking cookbook for xmas. I bought it but I'm not sure I'd recommend it, it's beautiful, has fun ideas, etc. but the recipes are adult level and def require supervision (and at least one I thought had incorrect amts in it so you want someone kind of experienced in the kitchen)

She also got the HP backpack from Pottery Barn, it doesn't scream HP until you look closely. It's so pretty I thought she'd reject but she seems to like it and it's held up since Dec.

Thanks! I ended up having another idea and got her a large donut blanket (my kids both have the burrito version and love it) and a package of Harry Potter stickers. The items will be delivered today.

That lamp on PBK is amazing, but I wasn’t spending $179 on it. I also saw the backpacks on PBT.

She is just 9 and I have no idea if she has been sorted into a house or not yet. I don’t know what she has and what she doesn’t have in the HP world as I haven’t been to her house in almost 3 years.

In regards to the PBT swag I honestly wasn’t sure if what I liked was what she would like and the items I thought she could use like a carry on luggage were way more than I wanted to spend.

The cookbook looked too advanced to be quite honest.

We love the Harry Potter Lego sets.
