    Default Countertop Ice maker recommendations

Our fridge ice maker gives us a lot of issues (it’s been replaced twice) and we are at the height of baseball season. We’ve been buying ice a lot lately but think maybe one of the small countertop units may help us out. Can anyone recommend one?

No experience but this one is always mentioned in another group I'm in! Costco has it online

When our fridge ice maker died, I started using basic ice cube trays. Two at a time and I would dump the cubes into the ice maker tray and make more every day (sometimes twice a day). We go through a LOT of ice, but it worked and we never actually ran out. It was more work for me, but worked well for a couple of years before we replaced the fridge.

We just have an ice maker, not a door dispenser so dumping the ice cubes in the ice reservoir in the fridge worked. There is no way I am putting another appliance on my counter

I'll check what ours is tonight. I wanted the GE opal nugget, but my husband bought a different one. I love it!
