The testing positive for weeks typically refers to the PCR tests. That is why they say you shouldn’t take a PCR test for 90 days after you test positive. A rapid test should be negative around day 10 if not sooner.

My district just posted the new rules and you need a negative test on day 5 to return on day 6. After day 10 you can return without a negative test.

My older teen is vaccinated and double boostered (last shot in April) and still got it at camp, with symptoms!

Thank you! I hope that is true. If LA Unified is good with that then I sure San Bernardino Diocese will follow. I did look up for an update on their website and nothing school related has changed since April, 2022 when they allowed churches to reopen fully. Nothing regarding schools since they lifted the mask mandates in early to mid March iirc.

Dd1 tested negative today. I am still positive. I wasn’t going to test but Dd1 wanted me to. Dh is still negative and truly just having allergy issues (the weather here has been pretty nasty). I have had no symptoms since Tuesday (maybe even Monday night, but I was still tired on Tuesday morning so I didn’t go to work….at home). I haven’t even attempted to test DD2 yet as I truly think this virus needs a good week to clear your system….5 days just isn’t enough. Thankfully dd2 has nothing to do next week and goes back to school on 8/17. Dh is stuck on the couch though until I test negative (especially since he has been negative twice).

What day are you guys on? DH is on day 8 and I told him to test tonight before bed. He was still positive early morning of day 6.

Glad your DD1 can start school on time and unmasked.
