Not trying to be a downer, because I was considering taking back the one I bought as that is a great price, but the seller ratings are not good and there are some concerning reviews. I would really investigate them before buying

Target and Amazon had it on sale for $99 two or so weeks ago. (Purchased it for DD then.)

I think it’s $105 at target now. Based on this thread I’m going to return the ti-89 and ordered the ti-84 from target. I want her to be able to use the calculator for all things.

DS1 tried to use a TI-83 instead of a TI-84 for stats, and it didn't go well. He's frugal and really did want to make it work - but it was a big hassle for him. I reached out to his teacher who confirmed that while it was possible to use one, it wasn't ideal.
