Default Assembly of Hemnes Chest of Drawers How Long

How long would it take? Task Rabbit estimates 8 hours! That seems crazy.

The tall five-drawer one? I think it took DH around two or three hours.

    that's insane!

not IKEA, but my daughter's college roommate had a bed, a big long dresser, a small tall dresser and a nightstand that was all flat-pack. her dad built ALL of it in in her tiny bedroom in less than 2 hours.

granted, he clearly knew what he was doing, but 8 hours for an IKEA dresser is insane.

That is crazy! I'd say a couple of hours. We have 2 of the tall ones and one of the short 3 drawer ones and none took a crazy amount of time.

2 hours at most. I think DD1’s dresser is a Hemnes and that is about what it took. She likes assembly IKEA stuff though.

It took my husband way longer than I expected to put together the big Henmes dresser my son has (like this: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/hemnes-...ined-60381737/) I think because it had so many drawers to assemble? I'd imagine one of the smaller ones would be pretty quick though.

I think hubby spent about 3-4 hrs on the 8 drawer one but it was a long time ago so I don't really remember.

My kids each have one. the first took me probably 3 hours. The second was super fast since I knew what I was doing. Maybe 1.5 hours.

I got the six drawer one.

Great input everyone. Our handyman swung by and had one built in 2.5 hours. I’m thankful I didn’t go with task rabbit.
