    Default New Teacher Gift

My friend just got her own classroom for the first time. I would like to get her a little gift before Monday. She has a good coffee travel mug and a good lunchbox. Any ideas?

I got my sister some name bubbles labels when she started teaching at her new school and she really liked them. They last forever too. I don’t recall which pack I bought, but she was happy with them.

A stamp with her name so she can label books and other items that might travel from her classroom.

Do you live in a state where teachers spend a lot of their own money on school supplies? If so, definitely a gift card to target or Office Depot or someplace like that. Or even Amazon.

If you don’t, I like the stamp idea.

No! Although I assume some do, PTO gives sizeable grants for supplies and parents bring in a ton. Ty!

A lot of teachers these days have “professional/classroom” Amazon wishlists. Parents and friends can then support the teacher/classroom by purchasing items from the list. Perhaps your friend has one?

Depending on grade & subject matter, books for her classroom library. Both at grade level and below because not all of the kids will be up to grade level.

A bell, if she doesn’t have one, is a good classroom gift that she’ll use for years. I have both a bell and a chime that I use. For elementary, electric door bells that can play different tunes are very popular, too.

All of my kids' teachers except the brand new one have Amazon wish lists. I just bought them Amazon gift cards so they can decide what they want most from the list...I have never bought 'back to school' presents but this year feels different.
