    Walgreens and CVS or the grocery store are usually open before school and have saved us when my kid needs something last minute.

    That's good to note! We have a CVS in town that is "24 hours" and they'd probably have at least the basics! I still go to the local grocery store before 7 sometimes and they DO have poster board. Ask me how I know, lol.
