We've booked some flights with Swiss Air for our France/Switzerland/Germany trip this coming April. I thought we'd be able to have the typical carry on plus personal item like we can on flights in the US, though I know European carry on sizes are smaller BUT it looks like they're REALLY particular with personal item sizes. No large backpacks will work for Swiss Air! (Not even my usual backpack let alone the Motherlode Jr I just purchased!) They only allow very thin laptop carryon bags! Has anyone flown Swiss Air? What did you travel with? DH and I were trying to get away with only using carry ons but it looks like it might be a better strategy to take advantage of their one free checked item per person, a carry on of the maximum size allowed, and then maybe something tiny to be able to access during the flight?

TIA!
