Sorry I’m late, if you are still looking for suggestions as frequently host all day/evening D&D games. Sometimes there is take out pizza when I am busy and can’t cook. But here are frequent meal combos:
Chili & nachos. Bring a pan of nachos to the group, then have the chili in the instant pot and they come to the kitchen, dish out a bowl, add cheese, sour cream, etc., then take it back. I have out in (I usually do veggie chili)
Fried rice & frozen dumplings. Same thing come to kitchen, scoop into bowls, throw dumplings on top.
Rice with chickpeas & spinach in that jarred Indian sauces, pre bought nan.
Pulled pork, buns, coleslaw and/or corn muffins.
Pasta and bread sticks or mozzarella sticks.
Snacks: grapes, clementines, chips, popcorn.
All the meals accept the pasta are easy to make at any time and keep warmed up in a pot or slow cooker. They aren’t hard to make. I often have the things I need in the freezer/pantry.
The kids bring their own drinks and maybe desserts. Every once in a while I make chocolate chip cookies.
(Just realized I said kids and my son is now 20!!!)
Chips, fruit, veggie tray, mozzarella sticks, and pizza. For drinks offer what you usually have at home. I am a huge fan of KISS (keep it simple stupid). Hope it goes well.
