Default 13 yr old girl gift ideas!

Help! DS got invited to a birthday party this weekend for a 12-turning-13 yr old (female) friend of his. They are friends from church, don't hang out otherwise and neither DS nor I know her well.
Any gift ideas?? Candy and a gift card to somewhere? I know she plays piano well and just started violin lessons. But that's about all I know.

Candy and a gift card are pretty standard at that age. If there’s a sports team he likes, you can get some sort of merch.

I saw it's a girl, maybe Target, or around here that age loves Starbucks (get one of the inexpensive cups to put it in), a small squishmellow and gift card to Five Below.

That sounds perfect. Candy and a starbucks card (or local place to get ice cream?)

Have a 7th grade girl..... fun socks are big here if you want something tangible with the candy/cash/gift card.

I have been buying Vera Bradley lanyards and zipper ID wallets on the super clearance (about $4 for the set) and keeping them on hand to put either cash or a gift card inside. Use them for peer gifts for my 12 YO DD and lots of graduation gifts.

I have a just-turned 14yo girl. As others said, candy plus a GC to Target or Starbucks are huge hits around here, as is cash. My DD and her friends love having money (cash or GCs) to spend.

Default 13 yr old girl gift ideas!

Target, Starbucks, In N Out Burger (if you have one), and Chick-fil-A are popular with my Dd2 (who will be 13 in April). Also stickers for water bottles are popular. Sour gummy candies like Sour Patch Kids or Sour strings are popular.

ETA: dd2 still loves Legos and Pokémon cards.

    Thanks for the ideas!
I figured candy + gift card but I have a mom who thinks gift cards/cash are so impersonal so I always 2nd guess those! LOL!

It's a hard age! My almost 13 yr old would still love Legos, but her older sister would have wanted makeup and jewelry. Both would have equally loved YA fiction and art supplies, so that is generally my go to - and novelty socks, which they all seem to love! A nice hydroflask water bottle is another good gift.
