DC trip on short notice - tag on 30 hours in NYC? Lots of questions!

My sister lives in DC and just took a fast train to NYC for the weekend. She said it was comfortable and only like 3 hours away?

My brother commutes between DC and NYC. He prefers flying and often flies into Newark. It’s quicker door to door.

Thanks all! Airfare and AirBnB are booked, as well as a hotel for NYC. I convinced DH not to rent a car, so we'll do Uber/Lyft from the airport and Amtrak/Acela to NYC!

The only thing a rental car would have been really helpful for is to go to the Cryptologic Museum. Not sure yet if we will skip it, or Uber there and back. Anybody been there and have an opinion on if it's worth the trip? We'd love to see the Enigma machine!
