Default Help dress me - shoes for a wedding version

    Update in last post!

Attending a wedding in Chicago next month. Evening wedding with 'cocktail attire'. I found a dress (sleeves are being shortened as I type) but need shoes....and not really sure where to start. I can't wear high heels - didn't really like to before the pandemic but a couple years without, and a broken leg/sprained ankle since, and unless they are chunky it's not happening. I also have lymphedema - it's not terrible but sitting at a wedding, and a seated dinner, my foot will swell a bit. Hoping somone has some great examples of 'comfortable but passably cute' .

    Thanks in advance!

I like the first three that MyFourSons posted. I would probably opt for them in black or black patent though or a really deep black with silver thread.

Here is one other option to consider. Comes in 4 different widths and looks supportive but dressy. Hope you have fun at the wedding!

If you are dealing with lymphedema I'd stay clear of the ones with the ankle straps. I'd look for a black low heel, maybe some sparkle. If you can, just go into a store like dsw/Nordstrom etc and try on a bunch , wear a skirt or pull up your pants to see how they look on your legs/feet. You won't know how they work on your feet unless you try them on given your restrictions.

I would totally buy those if they had a traditional low ankle buckle strap. I hate the trend of high ankle/low calf buckle straps.

Thanks so much for all of the suggestions!! They helped me narrow down my style.

These may be perfect, especially as they may have a bit more 'give' without the back piece. They had one size left, and they may be the right size for me. Ordered.

I also found https://www.zappos.com/p/naturalizer...02117/color/72 - which come in a wide. Although my feet and ankles may swell, I'm usually not a wide - so this may work too.

As always - really appreciate it.
