My ESPRIT mix and match wardrobe. Somehow, I acquired a billion pieces, and everything coordinated...like Garanimals.

Members Only jacket was the perfect weight with no fussy parts. Anyone know of a replacement?

Also, I feel like my skates were part of my wardrobe...both the plain white ones AND the "racing" skates that were black with white stripes that I used for the skate races at every session.

The most expensive, most cherished single item (and least worn b/c I was living on an island in FL!) was the Perry Ellis America sweater. Such awesome cotton. https://www.ebay.com/itm/184856597762

The oldest I was in the 80s was 8 so I don't remember trends from then. My time was the 90s-- Clueless, Spice Girls, Britney Spears fashion trends.

    Brands/ stores:
    Gunne Sax by Jessica McClintock
    Guess jeans
    Liz Claiborne clothes and accessories
    Benetton
    Esprit
    Swatch watches
    The Limited
    The Express

I couldn’t afford most of it, but my friends wore these things, or things from these places, and I secretly wished I could too.

Yes to all of this! I got a Gunne Sax dress in college for some event and found out when my mom died she saved a ton of my high school and college clothes. Dd found the dress a year ago and was in awe and heaven. The second thing she said was, “wow, mom you were so thin!”

I loved Benetton and drooled over it in the magazines. It wasn’t in any of our local stores so it seemed that much more cool and out of reach. I still have my Esprit cloth bag.

Espirit was my absolute favorite clothing brand. I started babysitting in 6th grade and saved all my $$ to buy Espirit clothes at the mall. I had forgotten they were "mix and match" but am now remembering that to be true. One Christmas (maybe 5th grade) all I asked for were Jordache jeans and felt my life was finally complete when I got them. Remember the zippers at the bottom?

Did anyone go to the Esprit Outlet in San Francisco in the 80s? I went in 84, it was a true outlet, huge open changing room, super cheap items (like 2-5 dollars), so much fun!!!
