Default For fun-Which music legends have you seen in concert or wished you did…

Same with us. Dd1 has friends who supposedly paid $1000 for tickets for floor seats bought through the pre sale. Not happening here. Dd1 even said no at $500. Imho Taylor (and Harry Styles) both need to do Vegas residencies for 6 months to allow more people to see them for a more reasonable price.

I am hoping to stay under $250 for Springsteen tickets and if I am really good saving I am hoping my whole family will go with me. It isn’t until December so I am waiting as long as possible to get tickets.

One of our school clubs raises money working concessions at the stadium where TS is playing. So, anyone 16+, with minimal training, can go work the concert. Some friends have worked other concerts there and said that once the show starts, they have no customers and take turning watching the show. Very sweet set up!

He's gonna be in Philly in August and as much as DH & I want to go because he's awesome live, August in Philly can be really uncomfortable outside!

I haven't been to too many big concerts. I lived in Seattle during grunge and saw so many great bands in little venues, but we went to "shows" not concerts. These are the bands that people might have heard of, I saw tons of more regionally famous bands as well but will stop here because no one will know them!

Nirvana probably 10 times from about 1989-1992
    Soundgarden
    Screaming Trees
    Mudhoney
    Sonic Youth
    Breeders
    Public Enemy
    Pavement
    PJ Harvey
    Hole
    L7
    Pearl Jam
    Fugazi
    Flaming Lips

I've mellowed out in recent years and have only been to a handful of shows including Wilco, Jeff Tweedy, Gillian Welch & David Rawlings (once in a tiny show in Little Compton, RI), Nanci Griffith RIP (Seattle in probably 1993, one of my faves), Emmylou Harris. I'd love to see Allison Krauss live.

I saw a few big shows when I was younger like Asia, REM and my first concert, Loverboy (hanging head in shame, but we did love them in high school).

Bands I would have loved to have seen: Led Zeppelin, Yes, Pink Floyd, King Crimson. I would love to see Taylor Swift, not because I love her music but because it seems like she puts on an AMAZING show.

I don’t really like going to concerts but I saw U2 at a big stadium tour and Bono is a true rockstar/ performer. Great show!

I'm really sad about not seeing Prince, Nirvana, or STP. I was super insecure when I was a teenager and decided NOT TO GO SEE GEORGE STRAIT because I couldn't decide what to wear. Biggest mistake. I also missed Garth Brooks in the 1990s.

I have seen Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder (without PJ) many, many times (DH has been in the fan club since 1993).
Dave Matthews is great; I've seen them a couple of times.
TSwift a few times because I have taken DD, not because I wanted to see her.
Willie Nelson several times; great every time. Well, maybe not "great" because he does whatever he feels like and doesn't sound anything like his recordings, but I got to see one of the last times his sister performed with him. We have been to a couple of 4/20 shows, and I've seen him at ACL. He grew up with my grandmother.
Speaking of ACL, there are always so many great performers. We haven't been in several years, but it is always fun.

I was super bummed that I didn't get tickets to see Tanya Tucker when she was in my tiny little town in April. It was the Two Step Inn festival, and tickets were stupidly expensive.

The Chicks performed at my DH's high school gym once before they were famous. His entire town is smaller than our current High School, so it was a super small venue. Also saw them at ACL.

Sting is coming to Austin in the fall, and I'm really hoping we can make it.

She would have to do a residency at a stadium as the Vegas theaters are too small. I think it was said she would have to do 900 stadium shows to meet the demand Ticketmaster had for verified fans. It’s crazy!!! I’d pay $1000 for any seat at this point. That is my top limit. I saved a lot of money when I was out on medical leave recovering from surgery. A ticket to see her would be my reward for getting through this injury/recovery.

My husband had a co-worker who had Ike and Tina Turner at his high school prom! A private boys school in KC.

There was an article written about their weird place in musical history.
