    Default Seattle/Vancouver

Hit me up with best things to do in Seattle/Vancouver that teens would be interested in! We're thinking about a week(ish)-long trip, flying to Seattle and driving to Vancouver (cheaper to fly into SEA). Is there a train option between Seattle and Vancouver??

We all have our passports and Global Entry...not sure if we need something different for Canada...

You don't need any other documents for entry.

My family all really, really liked this Theo Chocolate Tour https://theochocolate.com/factory-to...oaAnsJEALw_wcB
It's fun to walk around Fremont too when you are there for the chocolate tour- be sure and stop off to see the troll under the bridge https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fremont_Troll

The Museum of Pop Culture was awesome. We got the City Pass thing and did that, the Space Needle and Chihuly (I love Chihuly's work so this was a must for me). It was a good day.

I kind of wish we had done one of the Underground Seattle tours.

Pike Place Market? If you simply want a photo to say you were there, head over at opening before it gets mobbed. It was a quick in and out visit for us. We also stopped off at the hall of gum (google it, you'll see). I got some fun pics there.

We went south to Olympic National Park so no help on Vancouver.

A question about the possibility of flying to Seattle and driving to Vancouver—can you rent a car in Seattle and drive all the way to Vancouver? The reason I ask is that some extended family members flew from NC to Quebec during the height of the pandemic but couldn’t fly back home because one of them contracted COVID. They rented a car, and I *think* they had to switch rental cars at the border. (I got this secondhand so it may not be completely accurate.)

Def do underground Seattle tour! We loved that. Wall of gum was fun and sort of near pike market too. Agree to hit up like market early and move on rest of day.

It’s been few years for me and was at a conference most of time. I loved the awesome ramen place. Will ask my friend as she took us there.

This was our 4 day Seattle Itinerary. We actually did Vancouver/Victoria as a separate trip, I'll try to find that Itinerary.

    Day 1
Ride the monorail to Seattle Center
Ride the Ducks of Seattle tour
    Seattle Center Armory for lunch
Chihuly Museum (make sure you watch the live glassblowing demonstration that's outside)
Space needle (we saw this close to sunset so got pictures both in the daylight and at night with the city lights)
    Museum of Pop Culture

    Day 2
    Pike Place Market
    The Crumpet Shop
    Rachel the Piggy Bank
    Pike Place Fish Market
Beecher's Handmade Cheese (original mac & cheese is so good and you get to watch them making the cheese)
Market Theater Gum Wall (Post Alley)
    The original Starbucks
    Seattle Waterfront
    Ivar’s for fish & chips
Ferry to Bainbridge Island (by the time we got to Bainbridge the sun was starting to set, so we only got to walk around the shops, get coffee, and ice cream. If we had gone earlier we would have been able to go to the Bloedel Reserve which closes at 4pm in the winter, 6pm in summer)
Mora Iced Creamery (voted one of the best ice cream shops in the U.S. by Food and Wine Magazine)
    Ye Olde Curiosity Shop

    Day 3
Short (30 minute drive) day trip to Snoqualmie Falls-- saw the waterfall from the top, then hiked the easy path to see the waterfall from below
Snoqualmie Historical Train Depot in Historic Downtown Snoqualmie (DS2 was way younger then so I'd skip with teens)

    Day 4
    Seattle Underground Tour
    Great Wheel Ferris wheel
    Washington Park Arboretum
Ballard Locks and fish ladder with underground viewing windows
Latia (Birth & Postpartum Doula and Infant Nanny)
Conner 8/19/03 (My 1st home birthed water baby!)
Parker 5/23/09 (My 2nd home birthed water baby!)
