I'd absolutely get a $100 replacement now. Three weeks into having a retainer and my daughter lost the bottom one and needed it replaced. Thankfully they gave us a discount since she was already scheduled to go in because it wasn't a perfect fit when she got it. I highly recommend no pockets or napkins and always in the case!!

Order now! Even the most careful kid can leave one somewhere or have it get thrown out.

I wish it was $100. The discount is $100. The retainer would be $300 instead of $400. Seems like a lot of money to spend on what if. I haven’t decided to buy it just yet.

DS has a permanent bottom retainer and a more Invisalign-like top retainer. I told him if he loses the top then he is paying half.

    Default Retainers…

Ohhh! Ds is pretty careful and he still managed to lose one. I would take the discount now. Even still.

The second retainer ordered when making the first set was $200 for both my boys. I went ahead and did it.

Immediately following braces removal they were in the retainers 24/7 for the first couple of months and then moved to over night only. That first period is the easiest time to lose them. If you do have two and move to night, I'd recommend rotating which one is used. There will be some movement and the slightest bit will make the "not used" one uncomfortable.
