This an abject failure of the government. I’m sorry.

The govt screwed up big time. I can’t imagine how colleges won’t be forced to push back decision day when they won’t even start getting FAFSA data until March.
Our admit decisions aren’t impacted by the FAFSA fiasco. But our aid letters are. They won’t go out until April. We are a need based aid institution so we need the FAFSA. It’s a disaster for institutions and students and their families.

Mom to two amazing DDs ('07 & '09) and a fur baby.
Gluten free since Nov '11 after non-celiac gluten sensitive diagnosis. Have had great improvement or total elimination of: migraines, bloating/distention, heartburn, cystic acne, canker sores, bleeding gums, eczema on elbows, dry skin and scalp, muscle cramps, PMS, hair loss, heart palpitations, fatigue. I'm amazed.
Sorry, I meant students’ decisions. If aid letters won’t go out until April or even May, students can’t commit by May 1. What a nightmare.

I finally did it on 2/1 and it was a lot faster than 2 years ago when I did it for DS1. But I feel like something is wrong because the SAI is so much lower than our EFC was. I wish I had taken a screen shot of the page with the numbers I entered.

I still haven't tackled it. Not clear if I need DS to start it first or if I can.
I wanted to wait until the soft launch was over.
