I feel lately that I need a sandal with a back strap- gone are my days of driving or walking around in flip flops. I have 2 pairs of Teva Tirra sandals and that is pretty much all I wear all summer (for work and on the weekends). They are good in water, and are super comfortable and supportive- I can walk in them for hours. If I need to wear an athletic shoe for something, I wear my Hokas.

I am wearing Rothy's at work, and EVA Birks the rest of the time. I occasionally wear my leather/cork Birkenstocks, but the EVA is great for summer (I actually wear them year round - socks in the winter). My kids call them Birkencrocs. I wear Brooks runners when I walk, and occasionally Adidas white sneakers when I need closed toe shoes that are nicer looking than the Brooks. I also tried a pair of On, but they were too stiff. DD says that all of her XC friends hate them because rocks get caught in the holes.

Vionic flip flops. That's pretty much it. I had 2 pairs. One just died after like a decade. I need to buy a 2nd pair. That's all I need.
lol, I had a pair of vionic flip flops for probably close to 10 years as well. I don't remember how they finally died, but I remember the ones I ordered last year just didn't fit as well.

Thanks for all the suggestions! And anti suggestions - I can't tell you how many times I've put ON sneakers in my cart but never checked out....

Sandal wise I am loving my SAS Pampa in brown. For something dressier I am also loving the Donald Pliner Ofelia sandal in gold (also sold as the Vine sandal with some resalers; I bought mine at Nordstrom Rwck). For flip flops my go tos are Vionic Dillon in pewter (sadly discontinued but I have a backup pair!), and Crocs Classic flip flop

I have two pairs of Nike Court Vision Low one in white, and the other in white with cream/black/pink accents. I find them as comfortable as an AF1 but they dont scream that you are wearing your teenagers AF1. (FWIW DD1 likes the AF1s better and she says they arent as stiff). I will probably buy white AF1s unless DD2 objects (which I highly doubt she doesnt notice things like that like DD1) when I have to replace the white court low visions. I have a wide foot and court vision lows arent tight on me so they might be too wide for a person with a normal width.

I also have a pair of New Balance 990v6 sneakers for walking. They are heavy and they arent my favorite because of the weight but foot pain while wearing them has been minimal (which is my main focus when buying walking shoes). I live in a semi hilly area so my walks involve some slight elevation and limited sidewalks (which IME causes some minor foot pain especially in the outer arch). I think they will last a good 6-8 months for me (a year would be better because of the price), but I don?t know if I would buy them again.

I also have a pair of Brooks Glycerin 20 which are much lighter but I get a bit of foot pain from them if I am walking in neighborhood. For the gym and running errands they are great. I walked miles in them at Disney World with no issues but here at home they arent great. Honestly had I bought them at Nordstrom I wouldve returned them but since Zappos doesnt have the same return policy I am stuck with them.

With all of that said I will probably end up with Brooks Adrenaline again or Brooks Addiction (although the models for the past 7 or so years have not fit my feet well). I also tried Brooks Ghost (hated them; took forever to break in and caused minor foot pain; plus I wore them out in less than 6 months and I walk no more than 2 miles a day). The Adrenaline for me were a huge improvement over the Ghost but still not as stable as the old Addictions I had from 2001 until 2016 or 2017. I have been tempted by the Addiction walker model but they are just too darn geriatric looking for me but after having the 990s they possibly cant be that bad.

Every single pair had a stiff area around the laces that rubbed against my inner ankle. DH actually ended up buying a pair of On Cloud Cloudmonster 2 shoes that he tried on and ran on the treadmill in the store, but took them for a run at home and said they were horrible. He ended up returning them. He wanted a pair of shoes he could both walk and run in when we go to Orlando in 2 weeks. We were both disappointed in them.
I bought a bunch back in February and just couldn?t get comfortable in them so I returned them all. I bought a pair of On Cloud Coast sneakers and they fit nicely. They are lighter than others and they don?t fit as small and narrow as others. I have so far worn them around my house with no issues. They are very flat in the insole so I plan on wearing with my Vionic 3/4 insole. I bought mine from Nordstrom.com so if for some reason I absolutely hate them I can easily return them. (I am bringing a back up pair of sneakers on my trip just in case).
