Default Help me write work email re:bonus?

So I should be thrilled to get a bonus for productivity. Thing is the productivity report underestimates my productivity. I've asked the administrator to look into it.

In the interim, should I reply to the email saying thank you to my boss and that I'd appreciate the administrator looking into the productivity report? I typically reply to email within 24 hours but I'm in 2 minds about this. I don't want my thank you to be seen as I'm ok with the productivity report as it stands. At a minimum, I want my productivity record set straight. WWYD?

What was the spirit of the email from your boss about the bonus? Was it a more formal notification or a casual, you are so productive and earned a bonus? Was anyone cc’d on the bonus email?

I would reply all and thank boss for recognizing and bonus’ing your productivity, and let them know you noticed the numbers aren’t reflective of your total productivity and you are working with admin to correct. You could ask if your boss would like to be copied on those emails or not.

Maybe your manager is also bonused on the team’s productivity so I bet they’ll appreciate your attention to detail.

kinda hard to say without more context. I like what firstbaby said and also think if you are going to get an update in like 48 hrs (vs your SLA of 24) it is ok to sit on it for 2 days before a reply.

Thanks for chiming in. The email was from an admin asst who does the productivity report with the big boss and exec manager cc'd. It was the annual salary/bonus email which said nice things. I was wondering if I should say thanks and we're looking into this underestimated productivity. Since I have a call about this in the morning today, I'll go with Hillary's suggestion. Keeping fingers crossed that it gets sorted out

Thanks for chiming in. I'll go with the latter
