Default Cookie Thread - Share Your Recipe!

As promised my ridiculously easy cookie recipe:

    Take Your Pick Cookies

1 box of cake mix (not prepared)
    2 eggs
1/2 cup (1 stick) of Margarine softened
    *you can substitute vegetable/canola oil
    1 Tablespoon of Water
    Powdered Sugar

Mix all ingredients except powdered sugar. Shape into 1" balls, roll in powdered sugar and place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes at 375 degrees.

    My favorite variations:
    Spice Cake
    Strawberry Cake
    Lemon Cake
Devil's Food Cake add 2 tsp. of Mint Extract...just like soft thin mints!

It can get messy so I suggest dusting your hands in powdered sugar. My mom got this from her Home-Ec cook book from the 60's. I always get tons of compliments on how yummy and soft they are! :)

A similar recipe (didn't use the powdered sugar) was one of our "standards" growing up. We did a chocolate cake mix, 1/2 cup oil, and 2 eggs. Mix in chocolate chips.

I still make these on occasion. For the chocolate ones, Betty Crocker mixes seem to work best. You can also make these in mini-muffin pans. After you take them out of the oven, pop a mini-Reece's peanut butter cup into the top of each one. Mmm.

This is a really easy one that makes a cake-like cookie:

    1 box spice cake mix
    1 can pumpkin
    1 c. chocolate chips

Mix all ingredients together and drop onto cookie sheet. Cook 10-15 mins (depending on your oven) in 350 degree oven. I love these and they are so simple. You can even leave out the chocolate and they are good.
