I won't be able to organize everyday due to being wiped out after work. I'll make my list and hope to tackle them on Mondays and Tuesdays (my days off and time I have the house to myself.) Some of these items are more works in progress...

More than half way through my list. KonMari helped me knock out all the closets. I also noticed that I have desk on my list twice. Can you tell it's a constant battle for me?

Ok, I'm in but with 30 things I can control. DH is not ready to clean house like I want to, so for my sanity I'm listing those that I can control or are items I don't think he'll push back on. This will take more than 28 days (probably) but I'll update here as often as I can and then also note completions on the day 1, day 2, day 3 etc threads.

30 things (physical, electronic and mental clutter) – the things I can control
1. Create/decorate “these socks are made for walking” drawer (a shoe box that slides into and out of a hacked applesauce box) under walking shoes – DONE 5/28/15
2. Clean out yahoo in-box (still, again, may never end, I’ll settle for under 1k) – DONE, down to less than 900 (from 4000+) on 6/14, still under 900 on 7/6, now under 500 on 7/10!
3. Scan and delete Oprah emails not useful (more yahoo email stuff) – 7/21 erased them all, will review as they come in or delete. I’m sure I have other automatic subscriptions I need to review, but this was especially out of control.
4. Read all checked-out library books, no more incoming until I have only 5 left (from now on, only one shelf for library books no matter how thick they are!) - 6/5 oops, picked up 2 more when my final hold (from March) came up, I couldn’t help myself. 6/18 down to 10 library books! 7/6 I now have 155 books on my “misc to read someday” list in the library online system. 7/21 expect real progress this week, house-sitting and I don’t know how to turn the tv on. 8/9 down to 5 plus Harper Lee’s newest. Almost there! 8/12 – DONE, down to 5 library books.5. Review own books on “to be read” shelf and pass on those you just aren’t going to get to! – DONE 8/9
6. Try to figure out if DS nook is truly dead or can be resurrected and used to read e-books. – DONE 7/2, it’s back up and running and now I have the instructions how to reset myself. 7/3 having new issue, back to BN to fix our apps. fixed (again)
7. Separate and put away DS school papers (this packrat tendency saved our bacon LAST NIGHT when the teacher sent home an assignment in April w/o marking it received in her book first) – sorted stack I could find, I think there are more somewhere. 6/1
8. Actually file necessary papers in their file (work with DH to keep area around cabinet clear)
9. Sort and dispose of unnecessary linens (who needs 20+ regular sized pillow cases?) – DONE 5/31
10. Ditto with the hand towels – why have so many in colors that don’t “go” in a big laundry load? – sorted but DH won’t dispose of. Putting in sealed box and will see if he ever asks for them. 6/1
11. Work with DS to make cutlery holder for camping (supplies currently sitting in a bag on the floor) – progress, moved to dining room where sewing machine is set up 6/14; DONE 6/21
12. Go through clothes in garage – dispose of those that don’t “spark joy”, then dispose of rest as they DON’T fit! 6/5 Can’t get to them, need DH to move items. 6/17 DH making great progress in garage, I may get to these soon. Soon being relative, aiming to get to week of 7/12. 7/13 Went through, keeping only 5, the rest goes!
13. Go through “one size too small” clothes in drawers – spark joy, keep – dispose of rest – DONE 7/19 -it's all going away.
14. Go through “one size too small” clothes in bedroom closet – spark joy, keep – dispose of rest – DONE 6/7. Moving along 28 items, some in appropriate size to my sister, three gender neutral to DS (if he wants) and the remainder to Goodwill. These weren't all just "one size too small" - what was I thinking keeping size XS and S? I wore those in high school and college but this post-baby body is NOT going back into those. My side of the closet is looking much better. I got rid of almost a whole 33 capsule wardrobe (I'm not doing that but am familiar with the concept). Going back to turn hangers on all items to see what I really wear since I still have quite a bit in there.
15. Go through “one size too small” clothes in office closet – spark joy, keep – dispose of rest – DONE 6/5. Kept one item that sparks joy, giving a jean jacket to DS, rest to either Goodwill or more upscale resale (Aunt volunteers and will take for me)
16. How many jackets do I have and really need – review entry hall closet
17. Sort out/organize info/rollover? 401ks
18. Sort out/organize life insurance policies
19. Make/replace feet/stands for rolling carry-on suitcases (I have 2 or more that have broken feet)
20. Discuss/remove/protect rogue rose bush in lawn near fence (I think it needs to go, we mow around it but the weeds are choking it) in progress, 5/29 decided to replant to another location but haven't actually move it
21. Buy seeds and plant pumpkins (not too late if do asap) – DONE, decided against as take too much water
22. To-do list for parents’ 50th anniversary party – putting a to-do list on this seems a cheat, but it’s a constant for next three months – DONE 6/9, redid planning spreadsheet to function as working to-do checklist.
23. Clean up gardening bucket (how many single gloves do I have in there anyway?) – DONE 6/11. I have three mismatched sets, that works. Cleaned out and reorganized.
24. Summer’s coming, set up workspace in backyard for telecommuting days – 6/7 Dad brought over no-longer-wanted chaise lounge with slide out table. Will have to see if this will work. 7/1 DH rearranged patio to accommodate the chaise and found little table. Will try out week of 7/13.
25. Start sorting pictures for 2016 calendar (I always try to start early but still end up rushing in Dec) – DONE 5/31, updated for June 7/8.
26. Replant flower pots in front yard, the seeds didn't grow – DONE 6/11 reseeded. If nothing by July, I’m buying from OSH. Two growing, need to fill two week of 7/6. Done, 7/13.
27. Sort undergarments – DONE 5/31
28. Rejigger purse storage (includes closet partial redo) – DONE 6/5
29. Sort and rearrange items on three dressers – 7/15"finished" one except DH is going to build me shelves for that area so I'll be re-doing whenever that happens. I sorted, relocated and disposed. Confirmed the stuff on third dresser isn't mine. 7/19 Half-finished the second dresser. 7/21 bought scrapbook box to hold overflowing art supplies – will help with this second dresser top emensely.
30. Clean out and reorganize console area in mini-van (the mess there drives me nuts!)

OK, I'm calling this list and will start over with a Fall list. I'm carrying over 9 items to my new list. Thanks everyone for the inspiration.
