Default Sweats in public! A frivolous (hopefully not controversial) poll...

I wore a sweatsuit to Costco today. I'm always, always cold there and I wanted pockets so I could listen to a podcast while I did my stuff. I found it comfy but it was a weird barrier for me that I don't usually cross. I am putting this out today to get opinions! I definitely hope this does NOT devolve into the great Yoga Pant controversy of (whenever that was). I'm merely curious about where you wear sweats/legging/workout wear and why!

Like old school 80s fleece lined stuff?
I’m wearing some Athleta joggers now and will throw on a sweatshirt if it gets cold. But, that’s my limit for leaving the house. Plain cotton joggers are relegated to home use.
I will wear leggings and workout tights to run errands though- no hesitation there.

Oh I should clarify! Cute sweats, lol. I like my Adidas joggers. But I think also those fleece lined beauties are kind of making a comeback, no?

Our culture was headed this way already, but I feel the pandemic has really cemented the any sports wear goes anytime…yoga pants, sweats, leggings, wind pants, etc. all of it. I try to have my rear most of the way covered by my shirt when wearing leggings still though.

I mean I see them right there in all sizes at Target. I haven't gone full sweat suit yet. I think I'm just too old for that trend.

I hit yes to just about everything. I wear leggings, t-shirt and fleece almost every day/all day. I wear it to work out, and will even change into new leggings/tshirt if needed because my clothes are too sweaty after a work out. I wear my "uniform" when I meet up with friends at their houses for drinks. I only change into better clothes if I am going out to a nicer dinner or for a work meeting that requires it.

I don’t wear athletic wear unless I’m exercising. I will run into a store for a quick pick up or stop to get gas on my way to or from working out but that’s it. I’m in the minority. Around here anything goes!

I mostly get dressed every morning for my workout. But, who knows when that workout will be.
