Default Help me with my 2022 Book Club Picks! How's my list?

I've been working on my 2022 book list for my book club at my work. I'm in Activities at a Senior Living facility.
I know it's a little early to be thinking of my book list for next year but I love looking at new books and thinking of books
so this is fun for me.

Here are my ideas so far-

The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah

Home Before Dark by Riley Sager

Stay With Me by Ayobami Adebayo

The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

    Circe by Madeline Miller

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid

A Thousand Ships by Natalie Haynes

    American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins

Such A Fun Age by Kiley Reid

The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michele Richardson

I always love seeing your book picks! I've read The Silent Patient, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, and The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek and enjoyed all three of those! Several of the others you have listed are already on my to-read list, and I'm off to investigate the couple I haven't heard of yet! : )

We are reading Circe later this year - I think it’s a longer book so something to consider. Such a Fun Age - my book club did not like. Four Winds, Seven Husbands and Silent Patient were good. Another suggestion is Ten Thousand Doors of January - it has a little fantastical element and was longer as well but was enjoyable!

I've had the DEH novelization on and off my TBR list since it was announced!

I read Circe last summer; I really enjoyed it and hope your book club does, too. I'm a sucker for retellings.

Such a Fun Age was a really interesting debut novel, and I liked most of it, but the ending left me a little unsettled and disappointed. Let us know what your people think of it - they may have a different take!

Do you know the book "The Giver of Stars" is very similar to "The Book Women of Troublesome Creek"? There is an article from Buzzfeed about this. https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article...n-bookwoman-of

I have read both books and I can attest to this! Nonetheless, I enjoyed both books and they were different enough it didn't bother me/feel like I was reading a repeat.

ETA: I typed the above before I read your linked article, which I've now read. I read the books ~4 months apart, and while I felt like they were similar, I never thought "wow, there are a crazy amount of similarities" or anything like that......but after reading this article I'm shocked by how many there are! I still think both books are worth a read, though!
